Following in the wake of the Kindle for Android app, Barnes & Noble has released a Nook for Android app. Users can buy and download books through the app, and can even share books, a first for e-reader apps on Android. The app will work on phones running Android 1.6 or better, and Barnes & Noble also announced that it will be updating its app on Apple devices soon. The app features several different reading options, including font size and type and orientation. It will even bookmark the last page you have read. Future updates will add highlights and notes, among other features.
