Problem with Outlook Express

I’m not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, if not please direct me to what forum it needs to be placed in.

My Outlook Express recently stop letting me delete messages from my inbox. I made a new folder "InboxOld" and moved all of my emails to it. Then I went in to the search and searched for the .dbx files. Deleted all the inbox.dbx files from the computer, opened up Outlook Express again and moved a couple emails to the inbox that was there upon reopening. It still won’t let me delete anything. What should I do?
